Operator terms
For couples and planners using RSVP'd.
Some business details are not published yet
Who you are dealing with
RSVP'd is run by [placeholder: OPERATOR_NAME] (“we”). Our registration details, address and phone number are on the legal page. These terms are the agreement between us and you, the couple or planner running a wedding here.
What this is
RSVP'd gives you the tools to invite people to your wedding, collect their replies and pass the numbers to your suppliers. You pay once per wedding. There is no subscription and no per-guest fee.
You can build your guest list and your invitation for free. Guest links only show the invitation once the wedding is paid for; until then a guest who opens one sees a page saying the invitation is not published yet, with no details of the wedding or of anyone on the list.
Your guest list is yours
Under POPIA you are the responsible party for the people on your guest list, and we are your operator. In practice that means you decide who is on it and what happens to their details; we only ever act on your instructions.
Before your first send we ask you to confirm that everybody on the list is someone who knows you and would expect an invitation from you. We record that confirmation with the date and time. We do this because the law makes it your statement to make, not ours.
What we will not do
We will not sell your guest list, market to your guests, or use their details for anything other than running your wedding.
If a guest unsubscribes, or email to them bounces or is reported as spam, we stop emailing that address everywhere on the platform, permanently. We cannot undo that on your behalf, and neither can you — if they still want to come, speak to them directly.
Price and payment
R999.00 once, per wedding. No VAT charged: supplier not VAT-registered. There are no other fees, no delivery costs and no subscription.
By card on Yoco's secure hosted checkout page. You enter your card details with Yoco, never with us, and we never see or store them. You must confirm your email address before you can pay. The fee covers one wedding, however many guests you invite.
Straight away. The wedding is unlocked as soon as Yoco confirms the payment, normally within a minute, and stays unlocked until you delete it or the payment is refunded. Nothing is posted or delivered.
Refunds and cancelling
Cooling-off: you may cancel within seven days of paying, without giving a reason, and we refund the full R999.00 (Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, section 44). The law ends this right once a service has begun with your agreement inside those seven days (section 42). We treat the service as begun when your first invitation goes out — by email from RSVP'd, or when you tick a household off the WhatsApp send sheet. Within those seven days, until your first invitation goes out, you can cancel for a full refund.
If a fault on our side stops you using what you paid for and we cannot put it right within a reasonable time, we refund you in full, however long ago you paid. None of this limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act.
To cancel or ask for a refund, email hello@rsvpd.co.za from the email address on your account and tell us which wedding it is. We confirm by email and refund the full amount to the card you paid with, through Yoco, within 30 days of your cancelling — in practice usually within a few working days. We deduct no fees; when the money reaches you depends on your bank.
A refund makes the wedding unpaid again. Its guest links go back to a page saying the invitation is not published yet, and sending locks. Your guest list, the replies you have received and your drafts stay in your account until you delete them, and you can pay again later to republish.
Keeping a record
When a payment succeeds we email a receipt to the address on your account, with the amount, the date, our details and a reference. Keep it as your record of the transaction; if you lose it, ask us and we will send it again.
The terms, privacy notice and this page are plain web pages: print them or save them from your browser at any time.
Deleting things and taking them with you
In Settings you can download your guest list as a CSV file, delete a wedding — which removes its guest list, replies and message history with it — and delete your account.
Deleting does not undo a payment record: we keep a minimal record of each payment (the reference, amount, status, dates and Yoco’s own reference, but nothing that names you or your guests) because tax law requires it.
Guests cannot upload photographs yet. When the photo wall arrives, uploads will be deleted automatically 60 days after the event, whether or not you ask.
Honest limits
We send messages; we cannot make people read them. We show the numbers your guests gave us; we cannot make those numbers correct. Check the caterer pack before you order.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. Nothing in them takes away a right you have under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.
